A presentation and open discussion of the historical background and immense modern-day authority and power of County Sheriffs in the enforcement of laws and the defense of our God-given and Constitutional Rights. This presentation will focus on one case in which a Sheriff of Arizona battled a case against the Federal Government to resist gun control, not on the 2nd Amendment, but using the 10th Amendment. Further, this presentation discusses the historical role and source of authority of county Sheriffs.

This topic is being presented by Shawn Matthews, a current Maryland law enforcement officer with 10 years of experience. He is United States Army Veteran, who served as an Infantry Officer, for 9 years, and completed two tours in Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division from 2003 to 2008.
