Restore The Free State! is a grassroots, non-profit organization established to bring together the groups and individuals under one umbrella structure who are concerned about the direction of our State and country under the continual states of emergency. Over the last 10 months many groups and individuals have come together to fight the draconian restrictions on our freedoms which have resulted in increased suicides, business losses, bankruptcies, broken family relationships, and those restrictions continue to be a threat to the foundation of our government structure and the lives of the citizens. We all want to return the Free State to being free again!
In 1776, the founders of our country established a government based on the recognition that individuals have inalienable rights:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The concept of inalienable rights means that there are rights that every human being has by virtue of that individual being born and no government or individual can take away these rights. The scope of these rights is detailed in the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution and in Maryland’s Declaration of Rights. Since the founding of our country, the scope and protection of these inalienable rights have been expanded through the Bill of Rights to include all individuals, and not simply the “founding fathers.”
Today, our politicians are not protecting our inalienable rights, and instead are creating a tyrannical government through the use of Emergency Management Laws. The founders of our country were clear that is the obligation of elected officials to uphold the principles of our Constitution and to ensure that government works to protect individual rights from tyranny. If a tyrannical government were to form then it is the right of the people to come together to protect our inalienable rights:
“That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, - That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and to institute a new government..”
