Howard Gardner, a professor at Harvard University and respected expert in Cognition and Education, argues that we need to encourage more “synthesizing thinkers in this challenging moment of polarization and pandemic.”

CHINA AND COVID -19

The virus is both real and was purposely created in the Wuhan lab yet has greatly been exaggerated in the United States.

MY GUT FEELING REGARDING CHINA AND COVID-19

Some listeners may be bothered that I discuss religious differences between the United States and China, but I believe such differences play a huge role in the ongoing division between the two countries.

Yet before delving into the subject of religion, Gardner points out one of the principles of Leftist government known as the Hegelian Dialectical, which dates back thousands of years – and greatly predates its namesake, George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel – but is a principle often applied by politicians.

THE HEGELIAN DIALECTICAL

Gardner effectively likens the Hegelian Dialectical to a scene from a Mark Twain novel in which Aunt Polly assigns Tom Sawyer the undesirable and apparently useless chore of whitewashing their fence. Therefore, Tom cleverly devises a plan to evade the work. He approaches the job with feigned enthusiasm and competence, as if painting a fence is a pleasurable and highly respected skill. Tom’s strategy convinces the other neighborhood children that assisting with the chore would be a privilege and would increase their self-importance, so once the kids eagerly begin helping, Tom lazily sits back and watches as the other children complete the work, allowing him the ultimate power and control.

The Left apparently recognizes this concept as the “Hegelian Dialectic” but it’s roots are much more ancient than either Hegel or Mark Twain. And when politicians get involved, the HD can have devastating effects to the point that mass hysteria ensues and a supposedly essential and heroic task is, in reality, nothing but a gullible surrender to those seeking power.

Again, this concept dates back way further than either Hegel or Twain. One needs to look no further than the Book of Exodus and its background to see it employed by the ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. These con – artists (and con-artists are exactly what they were) exhibited incredible power over a gullible population simply by the use of trickery.

Case in point: The Dictamnus bush is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Rutaceae. It is also known as “the burning bush” as, in times of immense heat, rather than shed its leaves, the Dictamnus will rather secrete an oily substance that garners the sun’s rays and catches itself on fire, thus burning away the leaves and cooling itself. I can now picture an ancient Pharaoh inviting the leader of a neighboring tribe to come and watch as he supposedly causes a simple bush to catch on fire and be burned up. The tribal leader is terrified and the Pharaoh tells him, “I am being merciful to you. I could have instead made you burn up. But if you will go back and tell your people to submit themselves as my slaves, then I will spare your entire tribe from being burned to a crisp.”

Now the Biblical patriarch Moses was raised up in the Pharaoh’s palace and is obviously aware of this trick. And in the Exodus narrative, the sight of a burning bush does not surprise him. That is, until he realizes that the bush is “not being consumed by the fire.” And he realizes that this indeed was a God far more mighty than the Pharaoh or any of their supposed nature gods. But the Pharaoh’s supposed magical powers did not end here.

Additionally, the Egyptian “jugglers” (amateur magicians) knew well that various varieties of snakes would camouflage themselves to look like their surroundings. Among these are the Tiyanak, which if frightened or seized by the tail, will freeze into position and assume the image of a wooden rod.

Once again, let’s imagine an ancient Pharaoh hosting a tribal leader and instructing his jugglers to throw down their rods, only to have them appear to turn into a snake. And again, imagine the Pharaoh telling the leader to. “Go back and tell your people that unless they behave and serve as my slaves I will cause poisonous snakes to appear and swallow them up.” Actually, the Tiyanak is not even poisonous.

Of course, in the Biblical narrative, Moses has been cast out of Egypt, begins living among the nomads, and is really holding a shepherd’s rod. So when God instructs him to cast it down, he probably expects nothing to happen. But it does become a snake.

And later on, in the Pharaoh’s presence, the latter is almost certainly thinking to himself, “Oh that old trick? Is that the best you can do? My magicians do that all the time.” But then Moses’ rod consumes their snakes and becomes a rod again.

Now the Pharaoh’s trickery has not escaped the watchful eye of leftist political leaders desirous of power today. And they are no less crafty and no less likely to take advantage of the ill informed.

Case in point: Consider Al Gore and the other alarmists of global warming. While the Earth, and in actuality, the planets Mars and Neptune do, in fact, experience periods of warming trends, they also experience periods of cooling trends. At any given time, the earth may experience an average warming of as much as three degrees. And Al, or “Captain Ozone” as some have called him, craftily informs people that a three degree increase might not seem like much today but in twenty years, it will be equivalent to sixty degrees…So our whole planet is burning up!  Al never seems to want to explain the identical pattern on other planets. Apparently, those little green men are driving around in SUVs as well.

Did you know that Al Gore actually had a polar bear tranquilized and transported hundreds of miles south so that it could be placed upon a melting glacier and then filmed while struggling to stay afloat? That is a fact, and the poor animal can be seen clinging to stay out of the water in Al’s supposed documentary; “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Now I must admit that, as in the case with Tom Sawyer, Al and his cronies do at least instill a degree of good self-esteem in young teenagers seeking meaning in life. For several years, we had a young hippie-type man in our area who went around collecting donations for Green Power, a pro-Gore organization that likely used the money for their own luxury. Eventually, the young man got a job working at the emissions test station and, while the other employees displayed a lax “this is all so worthless” attitude, he diligently went about the task of getting larger vehicles off the road. Later on, I took their church van to be tested. Just previously, I had taken the van to Pep Boys and had instructed them to make sure the emissions went way beyond just meeting safety standards. So when I pulled the van into the test station, the young employee got inside, ran the test, and seemed frustrated that the level kept recording as zero. I assumed he was done, but then the boy backed it up and did a second test. Still frustrated, he did a third test and again, the emission level recorded as zero. Finally, I went out and took the keys away from him.

“Did the van pass your standards?” I asked.

“Yea, but something must be wrong,” replied the employee.

“Then give me one of those forms that says it passed,” and I yanked one out of his hand.

“But you can’t put a vehicle that size back on the road. It’s destroying the planet!!!”

I then replied, “Have a nice day sir,” and drove off.

So the hysterical global warming alarmists are, in my view, nothing more than the ancient tribal leaders who returned saying, “We had better do as this man says. Otherwise he might cause us to burn up or be attacked by snakes!!!! And that brings me to what may, in fact, be the Left’s greatest attempt yet, insofar as the Hegelian Dialectical is concerned.

Could it be that the whole COVID-19 threat is a hoax? Could it be that John Kerry sits on an airplane, happily glossing the day away without his COVID mask, that Nancy Pelosi gets her hair done in a salon she has designated as too unsafe to be open, or that even pandemic safety czar Dr. Anthony Fauci sits mask less, leisurely watching a Washington Nationals game in the midst of family members BECAUSE THEY KNOW THE WHOLE THING IS A HOAX??????

I am not qualified to say that for certain, but the words of a prominent infectious disease expert sure have me wondering. The expert is Dr. Derek Knauss, a highly respected clinical lab specialist focusing on virology and immunology based in Southern California. Below are his exact words – which FB fact checkers have feverishly sought to ban:

I have a PhD in virology and immunology. I’m a clinical lab scientist and have tested 1500 “supposed” positive Covid 19 samples collected here in S. California. When my lab team and I did the testing through Koch’s postulates and observation under a SEM (scanning electron microscope), we found NO Covid in any of the 1500 samples. What we found was that all of the 1500 samples were mostly Influenza A and some were influenza B, but not a single case of Covid, and we did not use the B.S. PCR test.

We then sent the remainder of the samples to Stanford, Cornell, and a few of the University of California labs and they found the same results as we did, NO COVID. They found influenza A and B. All of us then spoke to the CDC and asked for viable samples of COVID, which CDC said they could not provide, as they did not have any samples.

We have now come to the firm conclusion through all our research and lab work, that the COVID 19 was imaginary and fictitious. The flu was called Covid and most of the 225,000 dead were dead through comorbidities, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, emphysema etc. and they then got the flu, which further weakened their immune systems and they died. I have yet to find a single viable sample of Covid 19 to work with. We at the seven universities who did the lab tests on these 1500 samples are now suing the CDC for Covid 19 fraud.

The CDC has yet to send us a single viable, isolated and purified sample of Covid 19. If they can’t or won’t send us a viable sample, I say there is no Covid 19; it is fictitious. The four research papers that do describe the genomic extracts of the Covid 19 virus never were successful in isolating and purifying the samples. All the four papers written on Covid 19 only describe small bits of RNA, which were only 37 to 40 base pairs long which is NOT A VIRUS. A viral genome is typically 30,000 to 40,000 base pairs.

With as bad as Covid is supposed to be all over the place, how come no one in any lab worldwide has ever isolated and purified this virus in its entirety? That’s because they’ve never really found the virus, all they’ve ever found was small pieces of RNA, which were never identified as the virus anyway. So what we’re dealing with is just another flu strain like every year, COVID 19 does not exist and is fictitious.

I believe China and the globalists orchestrated this COVID hoax (the flu disguised as a novel virus) to bring in global tyranny and a worldwide police totalitarian surveillance state, and this plot included massive election fraud to overthrow Trump. Add to this the fact that our death rate in 2020 was almost the same as in 2019, lower than in 2015 and minus the poor elderlies killed in Anthony Cuomo’s nursing homes, actually lower than 2019.”

OUR TOPSY TURVY RELATIONS WITH CHINA

Some years down the road, I suspect historians will sum up the last few years to something similar to the following manner. When the U.S. President Richard Nixon first visited the isolated nation of China in 1972 and developed what was known as “Ping Pong Diplomacy” (as the Chinese ping pong team came to America and walloped the best players we had to offer), a surprising spirit of unity and cooperation developed between the U.S. and China. And the latter was abandoning its isolationist policies.

Jesus, of course, was the champion of the poor. He had ridden humbly into Jerusalem on the back of, of all things, a lowly donkey’s colt. He had taught His followers to humble themselves. If the Roman soldier came demanding that one of them carry his bag for one mile (as was permitted under Roman law) then they should carry it two miles. Turn the guy into a friend. Then, the next time the soldier comes to town, he will carry his own bag – and maybe even carry yours as well.

And ultimately, Christians rejected the Hindu-related concept of conditional truth. In areas where Jesus and Confucius differ, it is because Confucius was wrong, plain and simple, Now, many of the poor in China embraced that concept and likely today compose much of the underground Church there…but not the hierarchy. No such an admission resulted in one losing face. And Confucius had described this as the greatest of all insults and shame.

But religious differences were not the only division that would cause conflict. Initially, China had taken a similar approach to economic distinctions. Capitalism could be merged together with communism and the two could work together quite well. Not so. Again, once the common folks became acquainted with capitalism, the inherent weaknesses of communism began to be exposed.

In time, those within the Chinese leadership were stunned to discover that a 2001 book “The Coming Collapse of China” by Gordon Chang was on the verge of coming true. What would cause this? Two things: the Church and Capitalism. In the late 1980s, China had seen the protests in Tiananmen Square and the sight of commoners dressed up like the Statue of Liberty in America. And they associated their coming collapse with the United States.

China tried emulating the U.S. in so far as capitalism was concerned, but only to a degree. They first bid to host the 2000 Summer Olympic Games, and when they were instead awarded to Australia, China set their sights on 2008 (as the IOC would not want the consecutive games of 2004 in the same Asia/Oceana region). Awarded the 2008 Olympics, China, in preparation to host the games, discovered the great wealth that capitalism is capable of creating…But one aspect of capitalism was not welcome – that being that the latter both creates and encourages competition. As one business becomes a success and grows, it results in copycat businesses springing up. That results in competition for workers and salaries go up. That results in the consumer having more money in his or her pocket, and they spend more. That results in businesses expanding and further creates a need for workers. Thus, salaries increase all the more.

And Governor George H W Bush had once ridiculed his rival presidential candidate Ronald Reagan for emphasizing this. Bush mockingly called it “trickle down economics.” “Okay” Reagan responded. “Call it what you like. But it works.” And it does work. History has proven that. But such was not welcome in China, a nation where the Emperor was accustomed to being in charge with no competition whatsoever.

Capitalism has its origins in 14th century Belgium where, during a famine, the serfs revolted against the upper elite and insisted upon supporting their families rather than pay tribute to the lazy elitists. They had noticed that the Bible had played a strong role in the development of the most revolutionary document of its time, The Mana Carta, which openly proclaimed, “God is no respecter of persons” (Acts 10:34). They thus requested that their theologians determine what form of government Jesus would have suggested to replace serfdom. The theologians first noticed that the practice of communism in Acts 5 had floundered but that Jesus had said a great deal about money in His parables. They studied these intently and thus emerged the early origins of capitalism.

Now China was fine with all the wealth and prosperity that capitalism was capable of creating during the Olympics. But the thing that so infuriated the upper elite was the ensuing competition that arose. Allowing others to rise up the ladder and have the potential to exceed one’s status ran contrary to the teachings of Confucius, who again, saw this as one “losing face.”

The supreme Emperor would have nothing to do with this. Again, competition was an anathema to the Emperor. Greatness was only achieved by squashing the competition and that of course, ran contrary to what Jesus had taught. And it was here that China began to see both capitalism and Christianity as a foe.

Afraid of losing face, the Chinese hierarchy is repulsed by the Church and by Christianity itself. And a vibrant Church has been driven underground. Well again, the very title of Gordon Chang’s book “The Coming Collapse of China” was not well received among China’s leadership. And the United States is there seen as the culprit in their dilemma.

Could that be why China now seems intent on destroying what we’ve had for 245 years, known as the land of the free and the home of the brave? China knows full well that they cannot win an all-out war with the United States. Competition stemming from Capitalism has not only made America wealthy, it has also made us quite strong. Although Jesus’ influence has thankfully made us hesitant to use it, China and other nations as well are well aware that if you get the American people angry enough, we can blast you off the face of the earth.

Thus, China cannot risk losing face by suffering a humiliating defeat in a standard war. So could it be that they, and likely Islamic terrorist nations like Iran as well, are instead seeking to have America destroy itself from within? For one thing, China has an immense amount of valuable land. And thus, they seem to be freely distributing portions of it to American sell-outs, like Joe and Hunter Biden and even republican Mitch McConnell.

Now Donald Trump placed economic restrictions upon China that these sell-outs were avoiding. And he seemed destined for certain reelection as the economy was booming here, while again, economic forecasters were thinking China was on the verge of collapse.

Could it be that China saw in the Wuhan virus, COVID-19, a way of weakening the Trump economy and causing America to be leaning towards socialism and Trump ousted? Lab workers in Wuhan have testified to that effect. But now Trump closed the borders and the virus has had trouble making an impact. Indeed Southern California scientist Dr. Derek Knauss, a clinical lab specialist focusing on virology and immunology, says that he cannot find a single example of the COVID-19 virus in 1500 samples as the only thing that turned up was Influenza A and B.

Could it be that China, with the help of sell-outs like Biden and McConnell has purposely orchestrated both the COVID illusion as well as the election fraud in order to achieve the goals that they knew could not be attained if they took on the powerful USA in military battle? Could it be that they have learned a lesson that nations like Nazi Germany, Japan and Iraq found out the hard way?

Indications are that China has many allies. These likely include not just the Bidens and McConnell but also the billionaire hedonist George Soros and his sons, fellow billionaire Bill Gates, the late pedophile entrepreneur Jeffrey Epstein, and even Supreme Court Justice John Roberts.

But China still has two weaknesses; namely the Church and it’s ensuing ideology, which includes Capitalism. Just as Jesus and His teachings are superior to Confucius, so Capitalism is superior to communism. Simply put, one works while the other does not. And the vast majority, though they are often repressed, know that far better than the upper elite.

And for this reason, I fully believe that America will triumph over China and Iran just as it has other opponents previously. I can’t give you a timeline and admittedly progress is often two steps forward and one step backwards. But again, our approach works. Theirs does not.

IF YOU ARE NOT FOR US YOU ARE A RACIST

Here is a further definition of the Hegelian Dialectical that I came across, and I think it aptly describes our situation today:

“When you question claims in the mainstream. You are a “Science Denier. But, as when science said trans fats are good, but were later found incorrect, SCIENTISTS WERE ACTUALLY PAID TO BLAME SATURATED FAT OVER THE REAL POISON, SUGAR. A TRUTH THAT TOOK FIFTY YEARS TO GET STRAIGHTENED OUT. Some people exhaustedly argue with science. And now, the food manufacturers are given three years to get that proven harmful chemical out of our food. Meanwhile, it is still contributing to bad health and causing more pain and suffering than terrorism in our country” (anonymous quote).

I think this likely applies to race relations as well. I agree with people like Candace Owens and Tim Scott in that the stereotypical Archie Bunker racist is becoming an endangered species. As a child, I encountered a resident Archie who told me I should not walk home from school with a black boy named Paul. But my Father told me I shouldn’t allow some “crackpot” to choose my friends for me. Thankfully, I listened to Dad.

But today, liberals need to focus on the unfortunate death of a drugged up George Floyd in order to make this Hegelian premise stay intact. Again, the Archie Bunkers are thankfully rare but the left still needs them around as an imaginary dragon for them to slay and thus, to justify their existence.

RELIGIOUS DIFFERENCES CAUSE AN UPROAR

To begin with, most of the Far East has traditionally been most influenced first by Hinduism and it’s offspring religions, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and Shintoism. Now each of these religions has distinctions, but they are all rooted in a basic concept, which makes them incompatible with the Semitic religions: Christianity, Judaism and Islam. This same distinction in general also separates the Far East from the ancient Zoroastrians as well. That distinction being a denial of “Absolute Truth.”

Now, if you were to ask the average Semitic what Truth is, they will likely respond in words similar to this: “Truth is whatever is true. If it is false, then it is not true.” And admittedly, that is how I would define it. The Far East and mystical religions however, would respond that, “What is true for you might not be true for me.” The concept of “Absolute Truth” is foreign to these religions. This is a concept that traces back to Hinduism and has been adopted by most, if not all of the mystical religions (again Zoroastrianism sits alone, as it cannot be classified as either Semitic or mystical).

This concept of “Conditional Truth” has its roots in the following Hindu parable:

Let’s say a man is walking through a dark alley and sees a long thin object. Thinking it to be a poisonous snake, the man runs away. Later, a second man comes walking through the same alley and sees the same long thin object. This man presumes it to be a stick off a tree and walks on.

Now which was it…A snake or a stick? Well, the Christian would say that it likely was a stick; otherwise the second man would have got bitten in the leg. But it was either a snake or a stick or something else. The words “either” and “or” are significant here. However, the Hindu (and other mystical religions as well) would say, “No, it was both a snake and a stick. For the first man it was a snake as that is how he perceived it. And for the second man it was a stick as that is how he perceived it.”

Now I should note that Christianity and the other Semitic religions do, in fact, hold open the option of conditional truth existing. For example, the Greek language, in which the New Testament is written, has two terms for the word “WORD.” LOGOS is a word that is true for all occasions while Rhema is a word that is true depending upon time and circumstance. For example, someone might say, “it is raining outside.” And that may in fact be true but not always. An example of LOGOS however, might be “water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit” or two plus two equals four.” Those are universal and absolute truths that fit every situation. And please note that the Gospel of John identifies Jesus Christ as the LOGOS. That in itself is significant as will be evident as we move along.

Now prior to the communist takeover of China on October 1, 1949, Christian missionaries from America had tried both successfully and unsuccessfully to gain acceptance in China. In general, those that failed had adopted an ideology that required the Chinese to not just accept Jesus as Lord but also to adopt American customs. Eating with chopsticks was frowned upon. A knife and fork were supposedly the Christian way. Men were required to wear a coat and tie in Church while women were to wear long gowns. A sarong was frowned upon and considered un-Christian.

Basically the only Churches that gained acceptance were those of the seemingly radical Mateo Ricci, who told his congregation to go ahead and eat with chopsticks. In fact, Ricci adopted his own lifestyle into one that exalted Chinese culture. Ricci himself learned to eat with chopsticks and adopted a dress wear that echoed that of the Chinese.

Now, from the communist takeover in 1949 until U.S. President Richard Nixon’s visit to China in 1972, China was basically isolated from the rest of the world. However, Nixon’s visit opened a new outlook on those outside the Great Wall and, in particular, Christians in the United States. An underground Church had been flourishing in China, mostly tracing back to followers of Mateo Ricci. And these people began to see an opportunity to come out in the open.

Now initially, the Chinese government saw this as a good thing. It was presumed that Christianity could be merged together with these “conditional truth” mystical religions. After all, Confucius and Buddha themselves were respected by each of the mystical religions; so would Jesus be respected. But that would not prove conducive to Christian thought.

Early on, prior to Nixon’s visit, Evangelist Oral Roberts had been initially welcomed into Taiwan and had become both well known and controversial. Oral, you see, taught both absolute truth, as well as emphasized spiritual gifts (Gardner notes here that he and Oral both personally come from a Pentecostal tradition. that they believe in the continuation of the miraculous spiritual gifts emphasized in I Corinthians 12 and 14. He said he knows that not all Christians feel this way – many teach that the gifts ceased in the first century, but he leaves this issue for another time and place).

Anyway, Oral came emphasizing (1) that Jesus was the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14) and that nobody can achieve eternal life except through Him. That, of course, brought up the question of ancestors who had lived and died without ever hearing the Gospel. And such a question will receive somewhat different answers; in general, determined by whether or not the Christian happens to be either Calvinist or Arminian. Again, this is a general distinction but for the most part, the Calvinist will respond that John 14 dictates that all who die without hearing the Gospel are doomed for hell.

Oral, however, took the Arminian approach, which stems from Paul’s word in Romans 2. Undoubtedly Paul had received the same question from Romans considering the Gospel:

“But what about my Mon and Dad? They were kind and loving people who died without ever hearing the Gospel. Are they being tormented in Hell?”

And Paul responded in the following way: “They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them” (Romans 2:15). “Every human being in the world has an inborn knowledge of God and his law.”

That passage is understood by most Arminian as saying that every individual has the law of God written inherently in their heart and will be judged by God depending upon how they have responded and that those who followed their heart and loved unconditionally are thereby covered by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. Franklin Graham (Billy’s son) for example, once told a crowd that, “I think there will be many Muslims in Heaven BUT THEY WILL BE THERE BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST.”

Now Oral had echoed that position, and it was well received by those who again placed great pride on homage being given to family ancestors. But Oral’s practice of praying for the sick would cause a near uproar, not because Confucius had taught against such, but for another unanticipated reason.

Oral Roberts was a former basketball player and his six-foot, four-inch frame towered over the Chinese. Now, Confucius taught that having a taller individual place their hands on you caused one to lose face. And, as we shall note extensively, losing face was a sign of extreme shame to the Confucians.

So when Oral opened his “healing line” and invited the sick to come forward and allow him to place his hands on them and pray, he was met with cynicism. Initially, nobody came forward. But finally, a man with a sizeable goiter on his neck made his way to the altar.

Oral placed his hands on the man’s head and heard an angry response come from the crowd. Guards stationed in the arena began to cock their rifles. And Oral said that a huge sweat came upon him and that he prayed “greatest prayer of desperation” he had ever made. Perhaps the only thing that prevented a riot was that God responded to the prayer. The goiter on the man’s neck suddenly vanished. And that had caused the crowd to back off.

Well, years later, after President Nixon had visited Mainland China, Oral was well remembered there. Now remember that most of the Chinese still regarded Christianity as just another religion that could be blended together with Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc.

And in 1981, the Emperor granted official permission for a family to travel to American and specifically to Oral Roberts University so that the family patriarch could be “healed by Oral Roberts.” It was late at night, perhaps early morning when O.R.U professor Dr. Maurice Culver was awakened by a family of eight at his front door. Being told of the patriarch’s weakened state, Dr. Culver offered to pray himself. But no, he was told that the Emperor had only granted permission for Oral to pray for the man. Now Dr. Culver thought better of awakening his boss at this hour and thus, invited all eight to spend the night in his living room.

The next day, Oral was summoned and did in fact pray for the man. The report I got was that the man did indeed experience a renewed strength and the family returned to China only to vanish into obscurity.

Why? Well I suspect that the family received a similar reception to one that I received several years ago when a young deaf Chinese girl confined to a wheelchair at our Active Day Medical Center accepted an invitation to attend our church Christmas party, of which this particular year was held in the medical center’s auditorium.

The young girl had gained early success in the legal profession. But she had been passed over for a lucrative promotion and felt she had lost face in the eyes of her ancestors. As a result, the young girl had gone out to the garage, started the car, then went in back, laid down, placed her mouth around the exhaust pipe, and breathed in deeply. The attempted suicide failed but it did render her unable to speak and so weakened her nervous system that she was confined to the wheelchair. Thus, she was admitted into the Medical Center.

Now, I was a bit surprised that the young girl accepted an invitation to our church Christmas banquet as it was held at the medical center itself that year. That Sunday, we had invited a Gospel musical group, “The Redeemed” to sing at our church. So I asked them to come early and spend the night so that they could also perform at the Christmas banquet. As they did so, the young girl suddenly sprang to her feet and began singling along. “Joy to the World the Lord has come. Let earth receive her King.” Few of those in attendance realized the miracle that had just happened. But I certainly did. And it was a time of great rejoicing as the young girl had received what seemed to be a total healing of both her ability to stand and to speak.

And it was a joyous ride back to her home…that is, until we arrived. The family was not too excited to hear that the Christian God, Jesus Christ had performed a miracle to the extent that devotion to Confucius could not duplicate. In their view, I think they felt they had lost face before their ancestors.

That was the last I ever saw of the girl. The next day, the family removed her from the medical center and refused any further communication. I am not presently even aware of her whereabouts.

VACCINE, OR NO VACCINE?

This is a subject that I would prefer to leave to the individual. As I have outlined, there are risks for both receiving the vaccine and of not receiving it. [These are Howie’s viewpoints, and are contrary to those of this organization.] To begin with, I am not a COVID denier as is Derek Knauss. I feel the virus does exist, however, not to the degree of qualifying as a pandemic. I think the virus did indeed originate in the Wuhan Lab. BUT I also think that quick actions on the part of Donald Trump and his medical advisors greatly lessened its impact. The inflated reports of a pandemic are, I think, the result of things like Influenza and even auto accidents and suicides being reported as such.

However, there is risk in not receiving the vaccine in that COVID itself can be and often is deadly. HOWEVER there is also risk in taking the vaccine as it currently has only EMERGENCY FDA approval and could very well result in long-term complications and side effects. I personally have concluded that the latter risk is far greater than the former and thus, have elected to not receive the vaccination. But that is a personal decision that I feel every individual should make for himself or herself.

In the meantime, I pray that God will direct every individual in the proper course of action.

God bless you all, Howie Gardner
